Description: 1922.
Image shows preparations for a new tram track reservation in Roundhay Road, between Gledhow Valley Road and Copgrove Road. A tram can be seen on old tram lines on the right. The view looks towards Leeds; just after the tree on the left hand side is the site where the Clock Cinema and the junction with Easterly Road would be built. Houses beyond this at the top left of the picture are on Harehills Road. In front of these, the smaller building with a light-coloured roof is the old toll booth as seen in image 200258_32505435, which was to be demolished around the same time and the site became the Fforde Grene public house.
