Dib Lane
Description:
10th December 1935. Beyond the row of mature trees there is a block of brick built shops, some are completed and occupied and some are still under construction. There is a concrete mixer and other building paraphernalia, including a tool shed. A pile of railway sleepers stand in the foreground. On the left are more trees and a road sign. Three cars are parked at the junction.

The building where the three cars are parked was a doctors surgery at the bottom junction of Dibb Lane and Easterley Road.

Yes and the unfinished part of the building in the foreground became the surgery of Drs. Duthie and his wife Ann. Followed later by Dr. Zermansky and partners.

Dr Duthie and his wife Dr Anne Milne were our GPs when I was young. I remember the waiting room had wallpaper that had people with no faces. Also if my memory is correct Dr Duthie committed suicide with a shot gun and his wife died of alcohol related illness
