I was in the choir from 1958 to 63. The name Binder rings a bell I think I remember her from school. The head boy at that time was Rodney Seaman. I can still recall "taking up the plate" and getting "half a crown" for a wedding

I love this church especially the big window. All my family were christened and married here since the 1870's. I myself was married here in 1956. What memories it brings back to see it again

Seeing the inside of the church has brought back memories i was a regular attender of the church in the 60's i was a memebr of the sunday school and remember the garden party's that were held in the vicarage garden. I was also a member of the Juco's club and attended brownies and guides which were a happy time for me and for the last 20 years have been brownie owl to my own brownie pack i remebered how much i loved it when my own daughters started brownies.I attended Burley St Matthias school so also spent a lot of time going to church with my class mates and especially remember the harvest festivals.

Some great memories come flooding back with this photo. I sang in the choir from 1964 to 1966 (approx) and as David Colley said, we got half a crown for singing at a wedding. If I remember rightly, the choir used to enter half way down the right hand side from the vestry(?) in our black and white cassocks and surplices. The lead boy was Philip Bussey at the time and we would be behind him in two rows. I had the privilege of leading one of the rows for a while and was given a silver medal! (Never got the gold medal though!) I remember a lovely lady called Mrs Robinson who used to organise the flowers and lots of other things in church. Happy days!!
