Description:
Undated This view is of the upper section of Main Street, looking towards Glebe Farm. The farm was pulled down to widen the corner of Long Lane. The workshop on the right belonged to a Mr. Tomlinson who was a joiner, undertaker and wheelwright. This property had also been demolished.

Comment:
While Tomlinson's property no longer stands, the from wall of the house which has replaced it is part of the wall in the photograph. The thatched cottage next door was rented for about 10 years oover the period 1895-1905 by a group of artists who called it "The Atticke Abode"
