View of the Nookin from Leeds Road. This house is thought to be older than the date 1611 shown on the beam at the front of the house. Edward Tailor married a child bride, Isabel Lumly of Rothwell. Tradition says the Tailors and Lumlys lived side by side in Rothwell town until Edward restored the house in 1611.
