8th August 1935. Looking at Cankerwell Lane, on left HQ. of The West Riding Brigade Royal Field Artillery (Fenton Street Barracks). Premises in the centre were business of C.R. Horner, wholesale and druggist, address was number 4 Cankerwell Lane. Opposite on Cankerwell Lane was the Cankerwell Inn public house. At top of steps, corner of house on Leeming Square. Electric street light on pavement.
