25th July 1905 Taken during improvements to the Quarry Hill area. Showing a fairly large area of debris possibly the result of demolition works. There are several men working with spades etc. In the background there is Mabgate showing various houses and retail premises, and it is also possible to see another photographer in the distance, towards the far side of the site. There are advertisements on a hoarding to the left of the photograph.
