19th January 1931. View of back to back terraced houses on the north side of Mercy Street. Photo is taken from Wellington Lane looking NW towards St Philip Street, and shows the gable end with Forrest Street. A group of men, one carrying a little girl are leaning against the gable end of number 2 Mercy Street. Two boys stand on cobbled road. Houses are slightly set back from pavement and have steps leading down to basement area.
