24th February 1933. The photo is taken on the lower end of Byron Street, and shows the partially demolished premises of Grice's Pickle Works, on the NE side of Byron Street. A man is pictured in the left foreground measuring the height of the remaining outer wall. Car parked in far right of the photo. The name of the business is visible on the sign above the man. Mill buildings from Byron Street Mills and the Hope Foundry clearly visible in the background. Telegraph pole and gas lamp visible far-right. The picture faces towards Millwright Street.
