19th January 1931. View of back to back terraced houses on the north side of Mercy Street looking towards St Philips Street. There is a large wooden hand-cart outside number 12 with 2 boys standing beside it. Washing can be seen hanging across the street. At the end of the road on St Philip Street, The Wellington Inn Public House can be seen. Factory chimneys from Wellington Foundary are visible beyond.
