30th May 1868 The procession of the Prince of Wales (future King Edward VII) through Great George Street on his way to open Leeds Exhibition. In the background is Leeds Town Hall, which had been opened in 1858 by Queen Victoria, the Prince's mother. This is an engraving which was printed in the 'London Illustrated News', May 30th 1868.
