Dog and Gun Inn, 579 York Road
8th December 1932. Parts of the Dog and Gun date back to the 1700s. An extension was added to the West side in 1936 as trade increased with housing development on the Gipton estate and increasing traffic. In the 1980s a mock-Tudor frontage was added. There was a bowling green to the rear, also Albion cricket ground. A notice advertises lunches, teas and suppers with parking for cars and charabancs. Licensees were Charles Lees and Percy Lees.
