Thwaite House
Description:
18th November 1999 View of Thwaite House, built in 1823, stands on the foundation of an earlier building. It was originally home to the family and servants of the mill managers.It is now used as an exhibition centre.

In the 60's and 70's the house was not lived in, but was used as offices for the mill. It was reputed to be haunted, but I think this was a rumour put around to try to keep us kids away fro it and the orcard. Suffice to say it didn't work and only made the place more interesting!
