A.R.P. (Air Raid Precaution) rescue party stand on the back of a Bedford truck, equipped with ladders, rope and other rescue equipment. The men are dressed in protective clothing with tin hats and gas mask bags. The truck belonged to PE Snowden and Sons Ltd, Firth Road, Beeston, a building contractor.
