Description:
29th October 1999. View of the City of Mabgate Inn on the junction of Bell Street and Mabgate. The Inn was built in the 1840s. A fine example of Burmantofts faience, in the green glaze tiling round the exterior, produced by the Burmantofts pottery which was closed in 1957 having at one time exported around the world.

In 1881 the operator was ancestor 2nd cousin 4x removed,Joseph Reyner, wife Emma and 2yr old daughter, Nellie Beaumont Reyner. It's great to know it still stands today and is kept in such good condition.
