29th September 1959 View shows even-numbered back-to-back houses on Melbourne Street. Numbers run to the right in descending order from number 20 on the left where the ground floor window has been boarded up.

The 1871 England Census shows George Morritt (45),laborer & shopkeeper, wife Jane (39) & children Sarah A (16), sewing machine hand, Thomas (14), errand boy, Martha (12), hat trimmer, Maude (10), George (8), Emma (4), & John (1) residing at 11 Melbourne Street, Leeds.
