October 1981 Situated on the Headrow, built as an extension to the existing Leeds Art Gallery, the Henry Moore Sculpture Gallery cost £1 million. This view is the Victoria Gardens with Leeds Town Hall and the Municipal Buildings, which include the Central Library. Outside the Gallery, which was opened by H.M. the Queen in November 1982, is the Moore Sculpture Reclining Woman (Elbow) from 1980. The Henry Moore Institute has since been added, the site is to the right of the view here. The Institute opened on 22nd April 1993, it cost £5 million, designed by Jeremy Dixon and Edward Jones.
