Comment:
This WW1 memorial is now in St Mark's Church, Woodhouse. It was moved here when St Michael's Church was demolished in the 1960s. The inscription reads - TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND TO MARK THE SERVICE OF THE MEN OF BUSLINGTHORPE IN THE COMMON CAUSE 1914 – 1918 THESE GAVE THEIR LIVES. There are 234 names of military servicemen of many different ranks, including a number of families who lost several menfolk. Some of the windows were also moved to St Mark's at the same time. The building is now used by Gateway Church.
