Bridge House West, Pollard Lane
Description:
7th October 1963 This stone-built, ivy-clad property was known as Bridge House West. It shared a party wall with Bridge House which fronted onto Pollard Lane. A path leads through the garden where to the left a wooden fronted outbuilding appears in danger of collapse.

My aunt and uncle (Elsie and Jack Collier) lived here at this time. It was a big house devided into two properties, I lived in the other property with my father, Tommy Brigham, my mother, Bertha and my grandfather, Herbert Porter. (See picture listed as 1-5 New Leeds rear view).

II LIVED AT BRIDGE HOUSE WEST FROM ABOUT 1939-1959 WHEN I MARRIED AND MY WIFE AND I MOVED TO HUNSLET.THE LADY WHO HAS MADE A PREVIOUS COMMENT IS IN FACT MY COUSIN.

The hut that apprars to be propped up ,on the left, was a pigeon cote . My father.Jack Collier, built it out of old packing cases.

The outbuilding ,on the right, was our toilet. In winter we had to keep a storm lamp in there to stop it from freezing up. Boy !!! did it get cold.
