Description:
1963 Aerial view showing three stages in the redevelopment of housing in Little London. In the bottom left corner, the walled banks of Sheepscar Beck are visible. Above this, Meanwood Road runs from the centre of the left edge towards the bottom right corner. On the right are rows of back-to-back houses, many deemed unfit for human habitation, which await demolition. Towards the left, St Matthews Church stands in a cleared area, former streets are clearly visible. Moving across Camp Road (now Oatland Lane) is an area of newly erected flats and maisonettes, the Carltons.
