Photograph possibly dating from around 1960. The main, three storey building in view is the rear of the manufacturing premises of Benjamin Simon & Sons of number 72 Park Lane, at the corner with Hanover Lane. Part of the building is used here by Anson Pleating Ltd. The tall building at the right edge is John Barran & Sons Limited, wholesale clothing manufacturers which was opened in 1898. In the 1980s it was completely renovated to become Jacob's Well, which comprises a public house and offices. Chorley Lane disappeared under the Inner Ring Road.
