Undated Part of Meanwood Road, looking across from the corner of Bulmer Street. On the left is Buslingthorpe Green, with grocers shop at 242 Meanwood Road on the corner. At the other side, number 240 is the Junction Hotel, a public house selling Duttons Ales. Next is the end of Firnley Street with the Post Office on the corner, number 238 Meanwood Road. Last on the right is Stocks Street, number 236/234, Mrs. Louisa Lee, newsagents shop. Photo taken in the early to mid 1950s.

Although undated, this phot may have been taken in the late 40s as it is exactly how I remember it when small. These buildings are facing the Meanwood Road Co-op and a small bakery. Out of sight but on the same side of the road are a series of streets known as The Penravons.
