Description: Undated.
Image of Stonegate showing the rears of nos 7 (left) and 6 (right). The peaceful appearance belies the fact that the area was surrounded by mills, workshops, tanneries and various other industries. The area as far as the bridge crossing Sheepscar Beck was known locally as Buslingthorpe Vale. Beyond the bridge is Buslingthorpe Green with access to Meanwood Road. Photo taken in the early to mid 1950s.
