24th May 1960, On the left is the junction with Accomodation Road, the General Peel public house can be seen. Beckett Street, the first two shops have been bricked up, then number 42 is a fish and chip shop, business of Ben Middleton. Moving right, 40 had been a tailors owner Barnett Manley. Next numbers 38 and 36 are houses, a passageway next to 36 led to East Beckett Street.
