Description: Undated,
A view of Albion Hotel on the East side of Briggate situated at number 142. The archway leads onto Albion Yard which had stables and coach houses.
The hotel was demolished to make way for F.W. Woolworth's & Co which opened its new store on 1st December 1928. It was the second Woolworth's store to open in Leeds. The lady standing before the archway wears the shorter skirt and bobbed hairstyle that typifies 1920s fashion.
