Description:
Undated, A view of Gledhow Hall possibly early 1900s. The land was originally monastic and was purchased from Elizabeth I by the Thwaites family. The Hall eventually came into possession of Liberal, James Kitson the first Lord Mayor of Leeds and head of the Monkbridge Iron and Steel Company. It was used as a military hospital during the First World War.
