14th October 1958. A view of Haymount Place, left to right, numbers 5 to 13, taken from the Hill Street direction. These houses are uninhabited and due for demolition. This vicinity of Newtown has the recently opened (December 2002) Becklin Centre annexed to St James's Hospital. It is the reprovision of Inpatient and Outpatient Mental Health Services for adults and older people formerly at High Royds Hospitals Menston and the Roundhay Wing, St James's. Primrose High School is also in the vicinity.
