Description: 1956
The main focus of this view is the brick work and yard which was once the White Swan Inn, at no.7 Ward's Yard. Now a private residence it had been a public house from at least the 1890s closing some time in the early 1940s. There is a painted sign on the wall to the right bearing the original pub name. The road which runs down to the right is Argyle Terrace with the junction Mabgate on the right edge. In the background are some industrial buildings including Tate of Leeds Ltd, motor engineers situated on New York Road.
