c1863. Image shows a view of the Victoria Buildings on Boar Lane, taken before the street was widened in 1867. This section of Boar Lane, numbers 28 to 30, is located between Bilham's Court and Albion Square. On the far left at number 28 is the tobacconist, cigar dealer and rent agent Robert Taylor Rinder. In the centre at number 29 is the Saracen's Head Inn, the victualer (seller of food/drink) and licencee is William Booth. This is displayed on a sign above the entrance on the left of the inn. On the far right, just seen, is number 30, the pianoforte and music seller, John Sykes. Photography by Wormald of Leeds.
