My Brother,David Allen, used to frequent this pub for quite a few years during which time the Landladies name was UNA I think. She and her Hubby were Irish. I was visiting one time from my home in Australia and David invited me to a darts match with the team from the Globe. We assembled at the pub for a practice and a few "bevvies"before all departing for the match against the team at "The Brown Cow In Whitkirk. I found it very amusing that I was the only one who knew where the Brown cow was !!!!. We had a massive family goodbye party at the Globe before we left to return home to OZ.Was a great Pub.
