I used to attend Swarcliffe School in the late 80's when it was a Middle School. Just behind the tree was the main entrance and headteachers office. The upper floor of this part of the building was for 1st years, the 2nd years were on the ground floor. This part of the building has now been demolished. Not sure why though. Does anyone else know why?

The reason for the two storey building being demolished was the school was downsized because the amount of children going to the school dropped over the years i went there myself in the 70's

I attended this school in 1957, the year it opened. Living in Dennil Road, Manston Junior school was my nearest option, but, as my parents were Jehovah's Witnesses, I wasn't permitted to attend a C of E school. Incredible memories here of my form teacher Mr Smith - later my eldest daughter's Headmaster - great friends and the school trip to Belgium, Holland and France in 1960. Incredible memories which are impossible to better !

I was here from 1960 to '69. The block on the right has been demolished. They could have at least sold the bricks/desks etc...

I attended here from 1960-65 until we emigrated to Australia. Have fond memories of morning assembly and some lovely teachers - Miss Robbins, Mr Lucas, Mr Thornton, Miss Roberts and some of my friends Jill Marshall, Linda Walls, Diane Timms, Denise and Pat

I remember lining up to join with my mother in 1956/7 , stood next to me was David Cox, still a life long friend now residing in Luton . I also remember the leavers ball to whom I chaperoned Elaine Parker . I had the biggest brylcreemed quiff known to exist in the Western Hemisphere .

Good days, back in the late 50's early 60's. I think everyone knew Dave Cox! Ian Mortimer was my best mate there.
