Description:
2000. View of Sherburn Road in the foreground, and the underpass left, with York Road above it. The 15 storey block of high-rise flats in the centre of the image is Sherburn Court. It was built in 1966 to a height of 44 metres, one of several blocks built in the area. This one stands in Sherburn Approach.

on the bridge to the left youve got a picture of a old steam roller sat with the red lion pub in the back gruond its nice to see both times

I vaguely remember before all the Whinmoor blocks of flats got there jazzy red colour schemes they were all a drab grey and pale blue.

I live in the house furthest on the right in this pic, Sherburn Court from what i hear will be the only high rise block to survive as the others on the Swarcliffe estate are due for demolition.
