The small building shown here is annexed to St. Luke's Church situated in Stanks Lane North. It is home to the Swarcliffe Detached Youth Work Project, a drop-in resource and Information Centre. The team of three detached youth workers reach out to young people on the estate by building good relationships and offering information, advice and support on issues relevant to this section of the community. It helps young people to access training, educational and recreational opportunities as well as providing guidance and information on housing, health and benefits. The Big Lottery Fund awarded £162,027 in 2007 to continue the work of the Swarcliffe Detached Youth Work Project which is run by a committee.
