Description:
2000. Stanks Methodist Chapel is situated in Barwick Road and is of brick construction. It was built in 1882 and had seating for a congregation of 160. The building with the three arched windows is the Sunday School. The gabled frontage has been altered over the years and the porch is a more recent addition.

I lived round the back of here in Ash Villas and used to go to Sunday school here every week. There used to be 3 large concrete plantpots at the front of the building & the railings by the road weren't there in the 60's. Used to be Bazaar & Jumble sales from time to time & was also used as a youth club.
