Description: Undated
View of Bridge Farm located close to Thorparch Bridge on the North Bank of the River Wharfe. It overlooks the site of the ancient ford and, because of its position, was liable to become flooded. It is uncertain whether Bridge Farm originated as a farmhouse because it is a long narrow building with many bedrooms on the first floor. This suggests that it may have been a lodging house for travellers particularly in view of its close proximity to the ford. The pitch of the roof slopes steeply on the south facing side of the building.
