2003 Extensive old restaurant and public house, one of many properties in the village which is administered by the Lady Betty Hastings Trustees. Lady Elizabeth (Betty) was lady of the Manor. Born in 1662, she succeeded her brother George (8th Earl of Huntingdon) to lands and property. She lived at Ledstone Park, near Pontefract and never married. A generous and charitable woman, she made many gifts to churches and institutions. Dick Turpin is alleged to have stopped for two nights at the Old Star Inn.
