Oakwood Clock
2003 Oakwood Clock, situated on Roundhay Road, behind and in the centre the network of roads which converge at this point, can be seen. Princes Avenue, leading to Roundhay Park is to the immediate right of the clock. Next right is Park Lane, then Wetherby Road and Oakwood Lane.

I attended Roundhay High School for Girls from 1965 to 1972. I used to get catch the Number 31 bus which came through Oakwood Corner and up Gledhow Lane. If the bus was late or full we used to walk down to Oakwood Corner where we had the option of catching a Number 21 bus which came down Princes Avenue. Oakwood Clock was a famous meeting point and trysting place!
