2nd July 1943. This was designated United Nations Day, part of a week long fund-raising campaign to provide money for new aircraft. Standing at the microphone is HM King Peter II of Yugoslavia, this was in Victoria Square, outside Leeds Town Hall. Behind is the indicator board with target and total figures of funds raised. To the left of the King is Miss J.B. Kitson, Lord Mayor of Leeds.
