Asket Hill

Asket Hill
Undated, View dates from the early 20th century and shows one of several footbridges spanning Wyke Beck. Two girls sit on the side of the bridge. This is Asket Hill running between Wetherby Road and what is now Easterly Road.

The new Easterly Road runs where the photographer is stood and curves behind the trees on the right. A beck runs beneath these trees whilst Wykebeck stream meanders through private property on the left. Both converge on the other side of Easterly Road. The field to the front was our football pitch and the slopes further on our sledging runs in winter. Such a shame that we cannot freeze time, I had some wonderful times here :)
