1947. View of the Headrow looking East, showing the Odeon Cinema at the junction with New Briggate. It opened as 'The Paramount' in 1932 and could seat 2590 people. The name was changed to the Odeon in 1940. Here, the Odeon is showing a pre-release presentation of 'So Well Remembered' with John Mills. Above the junction with Briggate on the right is Grant's Furriers.
