Description: 12th May 1927
Image shows two groundsmen stood infront of The Hollies, built in the 1860s. In 1921 the property and extensive grounds were presented to Leeds by George Brown in memory of his son Major Harold Brown listed as killed in action in 1918. The house was used as a sanatarium for children suffering tuberculosis, while the grounds became a public park.
