Pollard Lane No. 95 & 97
Undated View of a pair of large stone built properties, numbers 95 (left) and 97 Pollard Lane situated between the Leeds & Liverpool canal and the railway line. Number 95 was once known as Airevale Cottage and 97, Airevale House. The Airevale dyeworks are at the rear. To the right, part of the Abbey Inn can be glimpsed. These houses were owned, at the time by Messrs Hadwen and Redman.

User Comments:

The house on the left was occupied by a family called Archers & the one to the right a family called Wade. The number of times we ran into the wall end,in the front of the picture,on the home made bogies was unbelievable.
