View of the High street frontage of J.M Gibbons, Draper, also the location of Clifford Post Office.
The shop dates from 1870 but Mr Gibbons established his business here in 1925. The window display is entirely given over to Eve toiletries, smooth, fragrant, soothing soap at 2d a bar, and shampoo which boasted no soap, no soda, no alkali and no rinsing. Gibbons also sold groveries and greengroceries and a sign advertisies the facility of a public telephone.
