29th July 1935 Rear view of St Edward's Church showing the tower and rose window. Scaffolding has been erected on the tower as, during this period, considerable work was being carried out on the building and surrounding area. St Edward's Church dates from 1848 and answered a need for the growing Catholic community within the village.
