Description:
23rd April 1980. Looking west along Church Street by the junction with Highfield Lane. On the left is Woodlesford Junior aand Infant School. Beyond the junction is a bus shelter; hidden behind this is Lotus chop Suey Bar and Woodlesford Fisheries. Cars are Parked on the road.

Also obscured, but you can just see the roof and chimney is the pub, the White Hart - or more colloquially known as the "Buck". To the right - just out of view would be the post office.

The old fish shop is now and has been a chinese takeaway for a number of years, I often had gravy and chips every Friday and Saturday night after afew drinks in the White Hart that was situated a little further up. The White Hart use to have a tap room where we all played darts, but that was changed in the later years to a dedicated Leeds United room. Unsure whats its like now as I now live in Dronfield near Sheffield and only visit my hometown of Leeds occassionally to visit family.
