Street Lane, looking south
6th February 1980. View looking south along Street Lane. On the left, a van belonging to the 4th Morley/Gildersome Scout Group is parked. Beyond that are Gildersome Liberal Club and St. Peter's Vicarage.

User Comments:

I drove that van to Scotland for the Scouts Summer Camp, about 1980. It was governed to about 50mph!

I also remember that van, and old fyfes banana van I think. Used to collect newspapers in it for scouts in the days before recycling centres. I lived in Birchfield Ave just opposite
