The old red brick building in the foreground, displaying advertising, is Number 4 Meanwood Road, the premises of E.B. Balmforth Ltd., Leather Manfacturer. It is viewed from close to the junction with Clay Pit Lane and in the background, the highrise flats, Oatland Heights and Oatland Court are visible. They were constructed to a height of 47 metres and 17 floors in 1971.
