Description:
Undated. A woman in overalls is slitting tungsten carbide tips, an extremely hard metal requiring the use of diamond slitting wheels. The image dates from the 1940's during war time at George Cohen, Sons & Co. Ltd. in Town Street. Much of the work carried out here at this time was for the war effort.
