3rd July 1985. Colour photograph showing New Briggate busy with shoppers on a warm, sunny day. Lewis's department store is on the left. Shops on the right include John Laing, menswear, Head Quaters hair salon, and William Hill bookmaker with Whan Hai Chinese restaurant above. The Grand Theatre is further along on the right and on the left The Wrens public house is in the background at the junction with Merrion Street.
