17th December 1980. View looking north-east along Town Street. On the left is The Fleece public house. On the right are the premises of Eric Bailey, scrap metal merchants, with an advertising hoarding for Carling Black Label on the side of the building. Cars are parked along the left hand side of the road.

The Fleece was an old pub even in the days I am talking about, my friends wife Shirley used to sing there. It is now a curry restaurant.
